Era CK started singing at the age of 6 at the school choir but joined the Music School only at the age of 14 – first tried the piano but stopped after 2 months, then switched to drums and went on for 2 years. During these years she got proper vocal coaching. Her father used to sing and play the accordion as a hobby.
Early adulthood contained participation in different pop-rock bands as a singer/songwriter, then after the University years a 6-year-music adventure began with a keyboard musician (www.varkonyitibi.hu), with whom she travelled a lot and performed at weddings, company parties, festivals, family events, etc.
The duo became acknowledged in its style, and their repertoire got wide but motivated by more personal growth she moved to the Netherlands in 2015, where she founded her first Dutch band that operated for 2 years and played originals. Later she joined different musicians as a singer but the final decision to start her solo career was made when she was told ‘You are just a singer and without a musician you are not able to perform ever.’
In 2019 the hard work began, and after 1 year of endless daily practice, and establishing a repertoire of around 500 songs, Era CK was born and straight away got invited to the Hungaromania Festival to Belgium and to various local parties in the Netherlands. After publishing her first One-man-band video on Social Media, COVID-19 appeared, events got postponed or cancelled and more than one year of Pandemic-Lockdown-Home concerts followed.
This time was used to practice more, build online platforms, and establish a colorful repertoire that is based on popular songs between the ‘80s till 2021, accompanied by live keyboard, sounding authentically.
She believes in the healing property of music that helped her become who she is now. Her aim is to play and sing at bars, terraces, company parties, festivals and to make people forget about their daily problems.
